we were browsing the ny times and found this handy interactive map to the best coffee spots in nyc. surprisingly we haven’t been to most of these! hmm.. so i guess that means we have a new list of places that we MUST try. wonder if any of these serve waffles..

they didn’t have a bunch of our favorites, so in no particular order if you’re looking for a good cup in nyc/brooklyn…

cafe cortadito- it’s a restaurant, but has one of the best cafe con leches in the city. shhh don’t tell anyone

gorilla- it was included, but didn’t get a star. must have been a mistake

open pantry- pumpkin spice. yes we named an a/w 10 color after their coffee

wafels & dinges- this is a waffle truck, we thought it’d be important to include this too

we also thought it’d be a good time to include these pics from a trip in november to berlin and stockholm last year. an international coffee tour. first four are berlin (one is ost cafe), last one is stockholm.. mm coffee memories

alice in 3-d wonderland

we saw alice in wonderland in 3-D last night and it did not disappoint (visually that is). but let’s be real, nothing really disappoints in 3-D, plus we’ve obviously been pretty obsessed with 3-d stuff anyways ever since seeing black meteoric star at moma’s pop rally back in may. (the 3-d glasses from our a/w 10 collection are from that night.. recycled props!)

so we got an email about being published in hearty magazine about our fall 10 collection w/annie hart of au revoir simone. we checked out the site and pretty f’ing awesome. also how cute are the girls that run this place? i am assuming these are canadian ladies, but if they ever move to nyc we’re always looking for models…

Rice is Nice

The weekend was jam packed with delicious food, including dinner at Rice, a neatly tucked away “world cuisine fusion?” restaurant on Elizabeth St., and brunch at Cafe Habana, yummm.

Also picked up a few gems (and more yummy food – chocolate sandwich from the Milk Truck?! and lobster rolls??) at the Brooklyn Flea. Love this vendor, especially. Want EVERYTHING!

so we just found out yesterday before heading out to the opening of hecho en dumbo for dinner (try the coconut macaroon) that we got blogged on refinery29.com! we love this site and being in the same company as preen, alexander mcqueen and alexander wang ain’t too shabby. take a look here or you can preview our fall line heeere. and yes it’s fall.. not spring, but we love the post all the same.

we went to the tim burton exhibit which awesome except for the 300 extra people that made it a little hard to move around. but we did manage to swing by the bauhaus exhibit too, which was AWESOME, but we were pretty much done at that point. good thing that wren handmade did a post on her favorite pieces.. pretty sure these were ours too.
